Urgent Notes is a task management application designed to help you quickly capture and organize your thoughts. With a simple keyboard shortcut (Ctrl/Cmd + Insert), you can instantly jot down tasks from anywhere without interrupting your workflow. The app consists of a desktop application for task registration and a web application for task management and viewing.
First, download the desktop application from the Platform page for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux). Install it and create an account. Then, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Insert (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Insert (macOS) to open the task registration window. Type your task and press Enter to save it. You can view and manage your tasks by accessing the web application through your browser.
The Free Plan allows you to register up to 100 tasks and is perfect for trying out the service. You'll need to periodically delete completed tasks to stay within this limit. The Paid Plan ($5/month) offers unlimited task registration and includes a 30-day free trial. Additional premium features will be added to the paid plan in the future.
The desktop application is available for Windows 10/11, macOS (arm64), and Linux Ubuntu (amd64). The web application works on any device with a modern browser, including PC, Android smartphones, and iPhones. For the best experience, we recommend using Chrome or Edge browsers.
Yes! You can customize the global shortcut key in the desktop application settings. While the default is Ctrl/Cmd + Insert, you can change it to any combination that works best for your workflow.
Your task data is securely stored on our servers and synchronized across all your devices. This allows you to access your tasks from the desktop application, web browser, or any other device where you're logged in. All data transmission is encrypted for your security.
The desktop application allows you to register tasks offline. These tasks will be automatically synchronized with the server once your internet connection is restored. However, the web application requires an internet connection to access and manage your tasks.
Task sharing functionality is currently not available, but it's on our roadmap for future development. Each user's tasks are private and accessible only to them. Please stay tuned for updates on collaboration features.
Your data is automatically backed up on our servers, so you don't need to worry about manual backups. We maintain regular backups to ensure your task data is safe. If you'd like to export your tasks for personal archiving, you can do so from the web application.
You can cancel your paid subscription at any time from your account settings in the web application. After cancellation, you'll continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which your account will automatically switch to the free plan.
Currently, there is no dedicated mobile app for iOS or Android. However, the web application is fully responsive and works well on mobile browsers. You can add the web app to your home screen for quick access. Native mobile apps are planned for future development.
